Last night's concert began with duo improvisations from Wes Matthews on piano and me. Alex Asher and Brian Landrus brought out a new quartet with Kai Ando on bass and Thor Thorvaldsson on drums, and premiered a full set of new compositions. Tommey performed a solo improvisation on piano and amplifiers. The evening concluded with a sublime Icelandic lullaby sung by Helgi Jonsson, a friend of Thor's visiting from Iceland.
